8/22/06 Our Father in heaven, we stand again to give thanks for this day – for the blessings that are ours and the opportunity to put our ‘worries’ aside for an hour or so. Help us with our patience and tolerance for others – to be better listeners and more open to change. Amen
The key to being a better listener is to stop talking, yes? Patience is exercised (sometimes strenuously) by not speaking. Listening is exercise, also. It is not a passive activity. If I work this hard to just listen, surely going the next millimeter to be more (or, MORE, as Dad clearly wrote for…me?) open to change is possible.
