Mementos from my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration.
Shared memories and prayers might not be the typical content for a blog. But the collection of index cards represents a lifetime of relationships in and with various communities and I can think of nothing more worthy to blog about.
Thank You for reading these shared memories. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. Indeed, that could be the start to a conversation with you. My hope is that these index cards have triggered something in you. A memory of a grandmother, grandfather, aunt or uncle, mom or dad might be close at hand, because of my parents’ shared memories and prayers.
Perhaps you see that all the while you were going about the serious business of growing up, they were praying for you. They were also praying for the world and circles your family was involved in. At the time, you just may not have known they were praying for you.
Yes, we can all be more demonstrative to let others know we really are listening and praying for them. We can all do more than just give a simple nod, smile and then move about our day.
