July 26, 2005 Our Father in heaven, we give you our thanks for the accomplishments of those who pursue the exploration of space. Be with and sustain those who begin a new journey this day – be also with those who guide and direct their journey. Amen
Whose journey do we direct? Our children’s? Our employees? Do we check the tires and provide maps (you know real paper ones in case there is no service for GPS). Do we set up advance reservations at places we know are decent? Or do we say, “turn in your expenses when you get back?”
Are we gas stations along the way? Are we shady rest areas with clean picnic tables?
Ask yourself, whose journey are you privileged to direct? It is an honor and a responsibility.
