9/9/03 Our Heavenly Father we pray again for your blessing on this gathering. Help us with the ‘news of the day’ – deliver us from our anxieties of what might happen – help us instead to enjoy what is ours and to pursue what ought to be. Amen
The news of the day is indeed draining and horrifying: drugs, fires, politics, Irma & Harvey.
To pursue what ought to be…is a bigger task. What ought to be? Peace with my fellows: home, work, neighbors. Faith in my God, faith in my fellows. Joy in my God, joy in my work set before me. Beyond this bend I cannot see.
