Others’ concerns

11/15/05 Help us our God to see beyond the weather and the gloom of the day and our own often unimportant concerns – to see instead the concerns of others – their loneliness – their search for shelter and nourishment – their loss of loved ones. We pray for your Grace on their behalf. Amen

To see beyond my concerns. Looking down the road I am on, I cannot see what’s beyond the bend.

Looking over at another’s journey, I am ill-equipped to understand their path. I have to move and come alongside as a paraclete.

That is not a common method these days. We are told it is best to broadcast every detail about your business, but overall, mind, your own business and don’t get involved in others’.

We don’t do a very good job of putting others first.
