7/18/06 Our Father, we come again troubled by the news of the day and ask for your Grace upon those who suffer and grieve. Moreover be with those who seek to mend and treat those devastated by disaster. And help us to cope with and acknowledge our own helplessness. Amen
Today’s prayer was posted as text to a Facebook wall before I even finished my first cup of coffee. Thanks Dad, you always knew what to say.
My prop today is a beautiful blown glass egg given to me by a friend in Florida when I moved. Andrea, it is one of my most favorite things. But the amazing thing is, as I tried to photograph it on a dark blue surface in the early morning, it photographs terribly. It only makes sense that it can only be fully appreciated when it is held in one’s hand.
