1/7/03. Our Father, we offer our thanks for the opportunity to see in another New Year. Guide each of us as we try to meet the challenges and opportunities it presents. Guide too the leaders of our nation so that they more clearly see your plan for peace and that their actions be so guided. Amen
How do we know when our actions are guided? Is it a feeling as we relax and let the current take us? How do we know if our leaders are humbling themselves to be guided?
I don’t believe that “guided” should ever be assumed to be “easy” or uncomplicated. The instructions for setting up any piece of technology or assembling Ikea furniture are not easy nor are they uncomplicated. They guide us, hopefully to a successful ending.
