Grace that supports and inspires

8/24/04 Our heavenly Father, we thank you for the opportunity of prayer – to join with others in our community who grieve for the Givens family. We thank you too for sharing Stuart with so many of us in this community – help us to know that your Grace will support and sustain us in our grief. Amen

The person Dad was referring to was Stuart Givens, PhD, of Bowling Green, Ohio. A professor at BGSU, and a friend of my Dad’s. I assume Dad was well-informed of the wonderful fellowship that was set up to honor Dr Givens. Obviously when he shared this prayer, grief was fresh and seeing beyond that was impossible. But reading of the Fellowship is the proof of the long-range support that Grace carries, pushes, and leads us to.
